  • Instructor Apprentice

    Those getting ready for Jun-Shihan

    Status given to Assistant Instructors who show potential to lead their own class. Instructor-Apprentices work under the guidance of a Chief Instructor for at least six months.

  • Head Instructor

    Status given to the Senior Instructor

    of a dojo, usually the sempai.

    Duty is to the development

    of all the students of the dojo.

  • Headmaster/Sensei

    The Sensei of a dojo.

    Duty is to the promotion of the

    students and the continuance

    of the tradition of the style.

Assistant Instructor Levels

  • Assistant Instructor

    Status received by all members after being a Senior S.T.O.R.M. member for one year. Among other things, Assistant Instructors work with students one-on-one and in small groups.

    Certified Assistant Instructor

    Status received by all members after being an Assistant Instructor for one year. The duties of a Assistant Instructor-Upper Level include running the first ten minutes of a class.

S.T.O.R.M. Levels

  • S.T.O.R.M. Trainee

    Status given to all new members of our Special Team Of Role Models. All must be of hard working attitude.

    This is the level everyone starts off in. Minimum requirements include one training seminar and minimum rank of brown belt.

  • Junior S.T.O.R.M. Member

    Status received by all members after initial training course, and after member has assisted in a minimum of fifteen classes.

    Minimum Rank: Sankyu

  • Senior S.T.O.R.M. Member

    Status received by all members after participating as a Junior S.T.O.R.M. member for one year and/or have assisted in fifty classes.

    Senior members typically run exercises and stretching in front of a class.

    Part of the test to achieve Senior S.T.O.R.M. member status includes an open book test on History and terminology and Basic S.T.O.R.M. principles.
